Dedicated Childcare Worker Wanted for Preschool

We are looking for a dedicated childcare worker who wants to work with us at the preschool during weekends. With us, you will help create a safe, educational, and joyful environment for children aged 1–12 years through play, conversation, movement, and creativity!

About the Position

We are looking for someone who is a qualified childcare worker and who, together with the teams, wants to help drive the work forward. We work to give children influence and to see the competent child. You should find it easy to collaborate and communicate, see the whole and the context, and have an approach characterized by curiosity, empathy, and respect. We place great importance on the good meeting between children, staff, and guardians. You will, together with other educators, plan, implement, and reflect on the activities in the Night Department so that it becomes a safe, educational, challenging, and joyful environment through activities such as excursions, creativity, movement, play, conversation, and recovery.

About the Workplace

The Night Department belongs to the Väster Park preschool, located centrally in Väster, close to Tegnerlunden and Varbergaskogen. The preschool consists of five day departments with children aged 1-5 years and one Night Department. Care during inconvenient working hours means that children can be with us both evenings, nights, and weekends depending on how the guardian works. In the Night Department, everyone has the opportunity to receive clothes for indoor and outdoor use (indoor pants, polo shirts, fleece sweaters, shell clothing, and winter clothes).

Within the Preschool and Primary School Administration, approximately 4,530 employees work. We meet the young people of Örebro from their first day in preschool to their last day in primary school.

Qualifications

You should follow up, analyze, and evaluate the activities according to the needs of the children and the child group. You should see the child's possibilities and have an inclusive approach. You should engage in the social interaction with children, parents, and educators at the preschool. You need to be a flexible person who can easily adapt to new situations while being a secure and caring individual. It is important that you can be creative and work towards a joyful learning environment. Additionally, you must master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with children, relatives, and other staff, as well as document what the activities require in writing. Since the work involves digital documentation, good computer skills are also required.

Requirements

• qualified childcare worker through, for example, the Child and Leisure Program or Komvux
• experience working with children aged 1-12 years

Meritorious

• knowledge of guiding interaction
• experience in pedagogical documentation
• basic training in ICDP (Guiding Interaction)
